Imagine, if you will, that you are a father trying to desperately locate your kidnapped son and requesting that a missing person report be filed.
Instead an officer deems that you’ve asked far too many questions and decides the best recourse for your worry is absolute violence.
Not a simple “we’re doing the best we can”, or “we already have a report file”, or even “sure, we’ll entertain filing the report” just as a simple due diligence.
There was nothing to deescalate, just a very obvious… let’s f*ck this guy up and send him to the hospital!
He’s standing their with his hands up and gets pepper sprayed, then punched, and taken to the ground.
Should the City of Mena’s Police Department make any attempt in defending Sgt. Eddie Price’s behavior?
If they do, that would speak volumes on what could be going on behind closed doors at that department.
Here’s a look at how things go down at the department.
Sgt. Eddie Price should be held accountable for his actions (and any previous ones that probably exist).
Who knows… he’ll probably have a couple of wrongful death lawsuits down the line, get put on paid administrative leave, and then later awarded some medal.
Feel free to contact them and let them know how you feel…
